Phased Array for Scalability Satellite Operations


The project integrated existing technologies from other fields (radio astronomy and single spacecraft tracking) into a bespoke, newly designed system as a cost efficient and scalable approach to tracking possibly 100s of spacecraft simultaneously, including those from low-Earth orbits all the way to deep space.

Waveguide Switch for

W-Band Spaceborne Communication


Flann Microwave and Teddington Electronics worked to jointly develop a precision-engineered waveguide switch for satellites at W-band (74-112 GHz), enabling cost- and power-efficient super-high capacity satellite communications and new applications in earth observation.
